First, look at the exterior of your home, better known as your curb appeal. Examine the outside of your house from a quick glance from the street. What do you notice first? What awesome features seem waiting to be noticed?
Understanding this helps us to decide what measures we can take to attract buyers from the street and into your house. If your home isn't at its best on the outside with retouched paint and bright greenery it's time to get those things done. Refer to the Curb Appeal Checklist and raise your home's final selling price.

Make yourself at home...
Does your house seem to say, "This is Your Next House" to a buyer? Looking through your house with a critical eye, I'll suggest arrangements that improve Open House appeal.
I'll help you eliminate anything that gives the impression of clutter. Surface areas like tables, desks and counters should be cleared off. Arts and crafts, sentimental items, family photos, and kids' artwork should get moved out of sight. Unsightly or cluttered places make your home feel less spacious and buyers have a more difficult time imagining themselves calling your property "home".
I know instantly where a room's best features are and how to show them off. I'll note the pieces of furniture that should be put in storage, rooms that need new paint, rugs needing to get changed, fixtures that could use brightening, and any other improvement that can quickly be made to positively influence the sale.
Potential buyers expect a home that brings them inside. Anything that could be too personal should be removed so that your home will have general appeal during any visit.

Setting the Stage
You'll know when to show your home, because all of the improvements mesh together to create a picture of what buyers will expect after they choose to buy your house.
Dark living areas can really dampen a buyer's spirits, so we'll do things like draw back curtains and create light where needed to invite the buyer inside. I'll teach you how to enhance the mood of the house with enjoyable music playing softly and ensure a pleasant scent flows from every room. Including cozy-looking throws, and place pillows on your couch and bedding are also a great way to spruce up a room. Buyers should feel like your current home has the potential to be their new home.
